Yamaha CX5M, CX5MII, CX5M-128, CX7M, CX7M-128
and YIS-503M
To run these machines in blueMSX, you need
the complete config files with all the
specific roms. Check the Resource page of the
blueMSX website and unzip
the config files in the Machines subdirectory
of the emulator.
For most of the special features of these
computers, you need also to have a musical
MIDI keyboard connected to your PC. If
detected by the emulator, you must select it
in the Options/Sound menu, in the section YK-01/YK-10/YK-20
In.
If you don't have a real musical keyboard,
you need to combine a tool called MIDI YOKE
with a virtual MIDI keyboard. Of course, it
does not replace the real thing, but it's
better than nothing !

The first version of CX5M is shipped with the
SFG-01 module. You can't access directly to
the synthesizer, but need to launch the
machine with the YRM-102 or 502 cartridge in
a slot and use the command CALL FMV,
then type MU in the sound
editor menu to come in the synthesizer menu :

All the other machines come with the SFG-05
module.
CX5M, CX5MII, CX5M-128 and YIS-503M are MSX1
machines, but the CX5M-128 is equipped with
the MSX2 VDP; CX7M and CX7M-128 are MSX2
computers.
CX5M-128 and CX7M-128 come with the YRM-502
rom inside, it's the second version of a
Voicing Program (sound editor).
These machines have a cassette interface; you
can also add a diskdrive. They start always
first with the blue MSX-BASIC screen.
To access to the special features, you need
to use one of these commands :
